Features a mains cord and an instrument lead coiled into one ring, bound at the crossover with cable ties and a strip of distressed gaffer tape, their plug and jack lying side by side and never mated. Two leads. One ring. Wound over, then under, the way a live tech coils a lead so it never kinks. The plug and the jack lie side by side and never meet — the circle closes around nothing, the way a room closes around a show that has finished. Cable ties at the waist. A strip of gaffer at the crossover, frayed, pressed flat, holding a shape that wants to spring open. This is not a diagram of connection. It is the last hand in the venue: the coil, the tape, the case latched, the lights already off. Nobody films this part.

Built for the peripheral survivor who coils the lead, tapes the bundle, and leaves the room darker than they found it.

• Print: high-fidelity DTG from vector separations; flat opaque fills, hard-edge masking; the two leads are distinguished by function alone (mains cord / instrument lead), so the artwork holds no colour dependency and reads the same on any blank; the gaffer tape is built from waxy clumps, torn-fibre stippling and frayed threads; the empty centre is deliberate negative space, not an omission.
